Erweiterung der S-Bahn Rhein-Neckar wird verschoben - Oberhessische Presse

Stuttgart/Mannheim. Von der Verschiebung betroffen sind unter anderem die Strecken von Mannheim nach Groß-Rohrheim und Bensheim in Hessen sowie nach Bad Rappenau und über Schwetzingen nach Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg. Die Stufe 2 der S-Bahn Rhein-Neckar (Mainz-Mannheim) soll wie geplant im Dezember 2021 in Betrieb genommen werden.
Die S-Bahn verbindet Karlsruhe im Süden mit dem saarländischen Homburg im Westen und Ludwigshafen/Mannheim im Norden. Im Osten führt sie bis nach Adelsheim (Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis).
