Am 1. Dezember 2017 konnten die drei ihr neues „Baby dann endlich öffnen. „Und es hat von der ersten Minute an gerockt, freut sich Lorenz - so wie es jetzt ist, habe er es sich immer gewünscht. "Blumen - 1000 gute Gründe": Festival-Saison kann losgehen

Flower-Bar den Startschuss für eine bundesweite Festivaltour. Wie bereits beim Parookaville in den vergangenen Jahren und beim Food-Spin-Festival in Mönchengladbach, kamen die Blumenhaarkränze auch beim City of Flowers-Festival sehr gut an und waren an zwei Festivaltagen das Must-have bei den jungen Menschen vor Ort. Für einen erfolgreichen Festivalauftritt sorgte zudem das Straelener Blumenmädchen Diana Maes, die beim Verkauf der Blumenhaarkränze tatkräftig mitwirkte. Die 22-Jährige verteilte im Auftrag der Stadt Straelen nicht nur schöne Blumen an die Besucher, sondern sorgte mit ihrer Präsenz an der Flower-Bar auch für ordentlich Umsatz. Die Marke „Blumen – 1000 gute Gründe erlebbar machen „Online und Social Media ist auch heute nicht alles. Das Deichbrand-Festival wuchs mit den Jahren stetig – und so zogen die Organisatoren immer mal wieder in größere Gebiete. Im fünften Jahr der Veranstaltung kamen zum ersten Mal internationale Topacts wie Mando Diao an die Nordsee. Damals fand man auch auf dem heutigen Festivalgelände ein neues Zuhause: auf dem Seeflughafen in Cuxhaven/Nordholz. Festivalerprobte Headliner Mando Diao sind in diesem Jahr erneut zu Gast. Seit fast 20 Jahren sind die Schweden nun schon musikalisch aktiv. Eine ganze Generation ist mit ihnen aufgewachsen, die früher wie heute zu ihrem größten Hit „Dance With Somebody (2009) – nicht nur auf Festivals – feiert. Seit 2002 haben es die Skandinavier auf sechs Studioalben, eine B-Seiten-Sammlung, eine Best-of-Platte sowie ein „MTV Unplugged-Album gebracht, die weltweit mehr als 1,5 Millionen Mal über die Verkaufstresen gingen. 2014 erschien „Aelita, das letzte Album mit Sänger Gustaf Norén.
